Top Accreditations for the Highest Standards

CVCS is the first and only accredited K-8 th private school with dual accreditation in the Greater Chino Valley area

Chino Valley Christian Schools is accredited by both Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Accreditation means quality assurance. For decades, the Accrediting Commission for Schools of WASC and ACSI has provided parents, communities, and educational institutions with confidence that accredited schools are worthy of trust. The purpose of the accreditation is to foster excellence in education by encouraging school improvement through a process of continuing evaluation and to recognize, by accreditation, schools which meet an acceptable level of quality, in accordance with established criteria.

The accreditation by WASC is evidence that the school has met the same standards that are used to evaluate premier institutions such as Stanford University, USC, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. Accreditation by ACSI demonstrates that CVCS is a quality school with a that stresses academic excellence as well as Christ-centered education.

CVCS is the first and only accredited K-8 th private school with dual accreditation in the Greater Chino Valley area-including Chino Hills, Chino , Ontario , Pomona , and Diamond Bar. This tremendous breakthrough in terms of school's program quality means that parents at CVCS have made a right choice for their children's education. Combined with the progress of the new campus development plan-CVCS is on the right track and its bright future is surely foreseeable.

Philosophy

Our purpose is to provide every child with the spiritual and academic tools that he or she will need to be a successful adult. We will give a solid academic foundation to our students in the basic fundamentals of learning along with Christian training  using  a Bible based curriculum. CVCS  was designed to provide a warm friendly atmosphere that fosters a child's academic, social, physical and spiritual development.  Our  teachers  are of the highest caliber and are educationally prepared to give each student  the opportunity for social, mental, physical and spiritual development. They understand  that  the task  of  shaping lives is a call of ultimate significance. The nurturing of our children in their walk with Christ is found in activities such as prayer, chapel, and daily Bible study. We believe that it is very important to set high expectations for our students and  monitor  their progress  closely. We also  believe that to meet the challenge of the  information revolution, we must offer our students the opportunity to use state-of-the-art computer systems and technology.

Spiritual

Character growth and spiritual development are the objectives of CVCS. Emphasis on chapel, Bible Verse memorization, daily Bible teaching, and Christian service aid the students in understanding the joy of knowing Jesus. Every year the school participates in ministry projects; student's work together to show love and compassion to those in need, or to serve in an area where  their help will make a difference.

Scripture teaches that each child is uniquely created in God's image. Students are challenged to develop the Fruit of the Spirit and are taught  how to apply God's principles in their lives.

Family Involvement

One of the goals at CVCS is to form partnerships with parents to help disciple and educate young people. Many opportunities are offered for family involvement. Parents are encouraged to participate in the classrooms, to be active in the learning process and share ideas and comments regarding the educational program at CVCS. Willing Workers and other volunteer opportunities occur throughout the year. Parent participation helps to keep tuition costs moderate and provides some wonderful fellowship, enhancing the family environment for which CVCS is known. The enthusiastic involvement of parents augments the learning environment and allows students to see the school and parents working in harmony. We also have some wonderful family oriented programs like Grandparent's Day, Father-Daughter Banquet, and Mother-Son activity night.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy  3:16;  2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there  is one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son and  Holy  Spirit (Genesis  1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth(Isaiah  7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His  sinless life (Hebrews 4:14; 7:26); His miracles (John  2:11);  His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9);  His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right  hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit  for salvation  because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace through faith are we saved. (John  3:16-21;   5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9 Ephesians 2:8-10)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and  the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12: 12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian  is  enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16).
