Kindergarten is an important and exciting year for
students at CVCS. Under the care of loving and nurturing
teachers, students begin to read, write and learn basic math skills. The
classroom environment is exciting and enjoyable. Students
quickly learn the behavioral expectations and respond to positive
reinforcement. A unique aspect of the kindergarten program at CVCS is
the multi-sensory teaching technique. Since this approach to teaching
considers the auditory, visual and kinesthetic (hands on)
learning styles of each student, students retain concepts more
quickly. Each week students are involved in chapel, music,
and computer. They also visit the library regularly. In addition,
several educational field trips are taken each year. Parents are welcome
and encouraged to participate in both classroom and field trip activities.
