Junior High
"Large
enough to provide a great program.
Small
enough to meet individual needs."
Welcome to Chino Valley Christian Junior High.
Our mission is to develop and nurture students through excellence in Christ-centered education. We believe our mission statement is clear. A large part of our partnership with the family and the student is helping to prepare young people academically for future success. Academic preparation is essential to a lifelong career, which we believe is also their ministry.
We strive to be distinctively Christian in our approach to every subject by having vibrant Christian teachers relating God's truths through each class. The faculty are qualified teachers with Bachelor degrees or higher. Teachers demonstrate Christ-like character throughout the campus, which includes personalized attention to every student.
Chino Valley Christian Junior High offers a full, well-balanced educational experience to every student. CVCS is a fully accredited member with ACSI (Association of Christian School International) and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). ACSI and WASC will assure every student is receiving a solid educational experience with high standards. Additionally, ACSI also assures that students are receiving instruction based on biblical principles and Godly standards. Under these two accreditation boards, every student who attends CVCS has the opportunity to go anywhere in the world for further education.
We will continue to strive for excellence in the academic arena, challenging students to be active learners, and using logic and sound reasoning skills. We offer core program classes: Mathematics, Language Arts (English), Science/Lab, History/Geography, Bible, Physical Education / Health. We chose our curriculum carefully. Our commitment is to offer the very best that is available.
There are also specialized program classes such as Art, Computer, Spanish and Performing Arts, which are offered every week throughout the school year.
Additionally, students have the opportunity to select from a variety of elective classes. CVCS offers subjects such as: music - Piano, Worship Team, Choral; Journalism, Drama, Chess and Leadership. Students choose electives that interest them and will expand their horizons. Elective classes encourage students to make choices and to learn responsibilities that come from making those choices.
The school also participates in ACSI Educational Competitions: Science Fair, Art, Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Speech Meet, Piano Festival, and Choral Festival.
Competitive Athletics are offered at CVCS. Under the leadership of the Athletic Director and the coaching staff the Junior High students are offered Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, and Cheerleading. The school participates in the San Gabriel Christian School League.
Take time to reflect how Chino Valley Christian School's quality, distinctive Christian education could change your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren. Students leave Chino Valley Christian School with a great foundation for their future.

Other specialized activities have included -- Dinner Theatre (production by the students to parents and relatives), Spring Musical, San Diego Institute of Creation, Getty Museum, Musical Productions at Claremont College, Museum of Tolerance, Science Camp; Senior Citizen ministry, Inter-City Volunteers, Food Drives and special social events.
Chapels--Each Wednesday we have a chapel service that involves the students in worship and the development of their personal relationship with Christ.

If you would like, you can also pray with us as we focus on this school year and through the scripture theme:
"Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father." Colossians 3:16-17.
